The Mineral Museum of Michigan preserves minerals to educate and inspire future generations.

VISION

The Mineral Museum of Michigan will be a dynamic museum of national prominence.

The museum will preserve, exhibit and interpret minerals and mining heritage to educate people about the aesthetics and relevance of minerals to society. The unique public service role of the museum will enhance the visibility of Michigan Tech and stimulate economic development.

Goal I. Continuously enhance the collections, exhibits and programs in a sustainable manner.

Goal II. Relocate the museum to a new more accessible facility that optimizes visitor experience.

We are essential to the identity and quality of Michigan Tech by efficiently serving students, faculty, staff, alumni and the broader community. We support the mission of the university.
