The
museum features the world's best collection of crystallized native copper and native copper in crystallized calcite. Among the specimens on display are numerous examples of the finest specimen of an individual mineral species. The finest collection of North American celestite and native sulfur. Special exhibits include native silver, datolite, Lake Superior
agates and greenstones (chlorastrolite- the gemstone of
the state of Michigan). A well represented suite of worldwide mineral are also on display.
