Keweenaw Mineral Collecting

Lodging and Camping

Keweenaw Mineral Days

TENTATIVE Events

The events listed below are subject to change. It is becoming increasingly difficult to get legal access to sites for mineral collecting in the Keweenaw Peninsula. Legal collecting events can attract illegal trespass collecting which results in reluctance of land owners to allow legal collecting. In addition, since Keweenaw Mineral Days uses heavy equipment to move rock, that, which hopefully provides better collecting, there is additional reluctance.

ROCK PILES TO BE USED FOR COLLECTING EXPECTED TO BE ANNOUNCED BY THE END OF FEBRUARY
