Keweenaw Mineral Days

Events

The events listed below are subject to change. It is becoming increasingly difficult to get legal access to sites for mineral collecting in the Keweenaw Peninsula. This difficultly is greater for Keweenaw Mineral Days collecting events since we use heavy equipment to move rock to hopefully provide better collecting.

The Houghton County side of this rock pile has been crushed and is now gone. We have never gotten access to the other side of the pile. We have permission to do a collecting event at Central. Our preference is to have the event at Champion.
