Attendees of the Institute on Lake Superior Geology have been asked to contribute rocks for the garden. Contributions from others are welcome too. The rock garden is intended to exhibit the diversity of rocks from the Great Lakes region from normal ordinary rocks to more interesting varieties. The rocks will be distributed in clusters and around the outside of planted areas.
Ideal size is at least 1 by 1 ft surface area and < 100 lbs
Contributions should include locality information (especially information of interest to the general public), rock name, and contributor name for recognition
