Donor Recognition

There are a variety of ways to be recognized for your donation to the museum. Donations are sufficient levels are elgible for recognition by having a gallery named, a case named, or recognizing a specimen. Contact sjdyl@mtu.edu for more details.

Annual Museum Supporter Honor Roll

Making a cash gift of $250 to $9,999 annually entitles you to official recognition as an A. E. Seaman Mineral Museum Annual Supporter. Your name will appear on a special plaque displayed prominently in the museum, for an entire year, from the date of gift. Annual Supporter recognition levels are:

$250 to $499 Supporter Level

$500 to $999 Gallery Level

$1000 to $1999 Curator's Level

$2000 to $9,999 Director's Level

 

Lifetime Giving Recognition

Making a cash gift of $10,000 to $1 million or more entitles you to official Lifetime Giving Recognition by the A. E. Seaman Mineral Museum . Your name will appear on a special plaque displayed prominently in the museum, and (need some gift premium here). Lifetime Giving recognition levels are:

$10,000 to $49,999 Petosky Stone Club

$50,000 to $99,999 Celestine Club

$100,000 to $249,000 Datolite Club

$250,000 to $499,999 Greenstone Club

$500,000 to $999,999 Native Silver Club

$1 million or more Native Copper Club

 

Specimen Recognition Program

You can recognize a specimen with a gift of $100 or more and get your name displayed next to it for one year. You can “rescue” a specimen from storage as some of them may not have been on display for 50 years of more. Give $250, and you can name up to 3 specimens and be included on the Annual Museum Supporter Honor Roll. Ask museum staff for details.
